POSITION DESCRIPTION
NCDA Technology Services supports all aspects of information technology in the office, from network operations and cyber security to case management. This role leverages legal training along with numerous possible technology skills, inclusive of coding, development, case management analysis, database administration, and cyber security administration. Dependent on candidate’s specific skillset the role may also work closely with NCDA’s Information Management team.
Technology Services is seeking an Assistant District Attorney to add to its permanent staff.
Competitive salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 - commensurate with experience
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant District Attorney will be responsible for case evaluation in keeping with the bureau’s mandate. To that end, he or she will:
- Execute operational directives of the Chief Technology Officer;
- Consult with legal staff in order to translate legal needs to technological and programming solutions;
- Provide specialized guidance for case investigations that involve digital or complex technological evidence;
- Assist Case Management Team with development and reports, including crime strategies analyses;
- Assist with cyber-security policy formulation and systems monitoring;
- Formulate and assist with litigation and trial presentation strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required: Admission to the New York State Bar; Strong technology and/or development skills; U.S. citizenship. Public Officer's Law §3(1).
Preferred: Prior technology experience, technology related degrees and certifications SQL database administration skill.
Motivated self-starter, a strong work ethic, and adherence to the NCDA’s high ethical standards.
